Another debut release from another Brooklyn band. Like their contempories, Akron/Family are interested in pushing the boundaries of pysched-out alt-folk. Amidst these unusual and highly worked song structures are some very sweet, and simple melodies. It's this juxtoposition that gives the album it's strength.
